Legal
Privacy policy. Short, and in plain words.
Kirat Studios collects very little: what you type into our forms, and what a web server needs to serve a page. This page says exactly what that is, where it goes, and how to have it changed or removed.

Who we are
Kirat Studios is a creative and software studio based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, working with clients across Canada and abroad. The person responsible for privacy is Kirat Sandhu. Reach them at business@kiratstudios.com or +1 (204) 698-9378.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry or ask for an estimate
The contact form and the instant estimate collect your name, email address, the service you are asking about, and your message. You can add a phone number, a company name, a budget range, a timeline, how you found us, and a few details specific to the service (for example a wedding date, a property address, or the platforms you post on). We use this to answer you and to prepare a quote.
With the message we record the time it was sent, the address of the page you came from, and your browser’s identification string. These help us tell real enquiries from automated spam.
When you book a call
Calls are booked through Calendly. The details you give Calendly are collected under Calendly’s privacy policy. If you answered our short questions first, those answers are passed to Calendly as the note on the booking so the call can start with context.
When you review work we send you
If we send you a private review link for your project, the name you enter and the comments and approvals you leave are stored with that project so the team can act on them. The link itself is the only key to that page; please do not share it beyond the people who need to review the work.
When you simply browse
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser) to run and protect the service. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics, and we do not track you across other sites. Your light-or-dark theme choice is kept in your own browser’s storage and never sent to us.
Where it is stored, and who processes it
- Enquiries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase) and a copy is emailed to our studio inbox through Resend.
- Bookings are held by Calendly.
- Photos, films and project files are hosted on Cloudinary. Client media is uploaded only by our team.
- The website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps the server logs described above.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Each is bound by its own contract and privacy terms, and we share only what each one needs to do its job. We never sell personal information, and we never use it for marketing you did not ask for.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while there is a live conversation or a business reason to hold them, such as a quote you may come back to or work in progress. Review comments stay with their project. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short, rolling period. Ask us at any time and we will delete what we hold about you, unless we need to keep it to complete work you have commissioned or to meet a legal obligation such as tax records.
Your rights
Under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and Canada’s PIPEDA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, withdraw your consent to its use, and ask for it to be deleted. Email business@kiratstudios.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
People in photos and films
We photograph and film people as part of our work. Where the work is published on this site or on our channels, the client has agreed to that use. If you appear in work shown here and would like it taken down, email us and we will.
Changes
